We are pleased you have stopped by to spend a little quality time down at the River.

The name may not exactly say it, however we are a full-service Land Surveying and Mapping company providing professional and responsive consulting services to many types of clients for various types of projects throughout Northern California.

Quiet River Land Services, Inc.  Love that Name!...what is the story there?   As founder, I get asked that question quite often.

Most land surveyors spend a lot of time outside on the land.  Surveyors look at land differently than most folks do. Many of the ones I know love being outside working and enjoying the changing landscapes - I sure do.  Having been an avid outdoorsman throughout my life, I have logged untold hours working, learning, traveling, hiking, camping, fishing and playing outside in the mountains of Colorado and California.  Of all the places on earth, there is something special about time spent along the edges and banks of a quiet river.

A river is a spiritual and powerful living thing.  It is at once peaceful, yet full of life and dynamic power.  Quiet time spent by a river can change you and awaken your over-stimulated senses. Like a great teacher, the river can change your perception of the passage of time, it can re-direct your energy, attention and awareness.  You may see things previously unnoticed both around you, but also within.  Time spent by that river helps to re-set priorities, alter your pace, assess your values and priorities.  Time by the river can allow you to see things again for the first time – renewed, refreshed and restored.

With that in mind I wanted to start a company that would be as close to that quiet river as we could get here at work, for me, for our staff, and for our clients whom we serve.  Land development and land use projects can be wonderfully creative, directed by a  purposeful design.  However, land development can be stressful, demanding, and sometimes problematic as well.  We started this company with the idea that we could be a restful and dynamic place to bring yourself and your project.  So take a walk along The Quiet River website and explore what we have to offer.
